ABOUT US

Thinking Strings Media is a South African production company based in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands. The company was founded by award-winning filmmaker, Nicole Schafer.

Her recently released feature documentary, “Buddha in Africa" has screened at festivals around the world and won numerous awards including “Best feature documentary” and “Best Achievement in Directing” in the 2020 South African Film and Television Awards. Nicole has worked extensively in different areas of the local and international film and television sector and has an MFA in Film and Television from UCT (2015).

Thinking Strings Media specialises in the production of creative documentaries and offers services in production, post-production and general videography.

We are also expanding our portfolio to include the facilitation of feature film production in KwaZulu-Natal and have a number of programmes in development aimed towards supporting the development of film production in the province.
